How to save money on AppleCare extended warranty when buying a new Mac  

From time-to-time, Apple resellers will hold promotions offering exceptional discounts to Apple's retail pricing for hardware, software and services. Currently, Apple authorized reseller B&H Photo is running a Buy Together And Save promotion that offers over 50% off AppleCare 3-year extended warranty plans (normally $249 to $349) when purchased alongside a new Mac. Since B&H also offers hefty discounts on new Macs themselves, the promotion will in most cases save you hundreds of dollars over buying from Apple's online store or retail shops. To sweeten the pot, B&H will also throw in your choice of 1) a free copy of Parallel's 8 Desktop (for running Windows on a Mac), or 2) FileMaker 4 Bento personal database software. Step 2: Now add the Mac to your B&H shopping cart by clicking the blue ADD TO CART button:

 

 

 

Step 3: A Buy Together and Save window will pop up after you add the Mac to your cart.

 

a) First select between the two pieces of free software B&H offers with each new Mac by clicking the Select Item button next to your selection:

 

 

b) Then click the COMPUTER ACCESSORIES option from the menu on the lower left:

 

 

 

c) Now add the discounted AppleCare Protection Plan for your Mac your selected items list by clicking the Select Item button.

 

 

d) You should now see the software you selected from Step 3a, as well as the AppleCare Protection Plan you selected from Step 3c, in your list of selected items along with your new Mac. Click the ADD SELECTED TO CART button to add all three items to your shopping cart.

 

 

Step 4: You should now see a small window similar to the one below, confirming that you've added the new Mac, free software selection, and AppleCare extended warranty to your cart. 

 

 

Step 5: To complete your purchase, simply hit the View Cart button. You should then see an order summary with your discounted bundle pricing. Simply complete the checkout process to finalize your order:
