mail.app deleted mail

anyone have mail.app delete all your mail for no apparent reason? one of my mailboxes seemed to be deleted.

i seem to recall getting a message earlier in the day, something about it can't uncompress something,i didn't think much of it

what happens if i rebuild mailbox?

i sure hope new version in Jaguar is much better, i'm gettingsick of this program

I always thought that rebuilding a mailbox reclaimed the space left by deleted mail. I've rebuilt my mailbox a few times after deleting a large amount of mail and have not experienced any problems.
