I work with a girl who brought back this delicious soda (soda as in coke, pepsi, pop, whatever term you use) and it almost tasted like apple cider. But I don't know the name or how to get any. Can someone please help me, it was very good and I'd like to order some!

Thank you very much...it came in a green plastic bottle if that helps at all.

Are you talking about Guarana? That stuff is super high in caffeine.

It's like cola, or ginger ale in the sense that there are various brands of the stuff, but you're correct, the stuff they import has a green bottle.

I just go to one of the dozens of Brazillian grocery stores in my city :) . Do a google search for "Guarana soda".

I have lived in Brazil for a while, and the name of the soda is called Guarana. It's made from a small fruit that grows in places like the Amazon.

The kind in the green bottle is a brand name called Antartica. It's generally accepted in Brazil to be the best kind. You can get it here in the states, but it's hard to come by. There are other inferior brands that are more readily available.

I would check any local Brazilian Restaurants (aka Churrascos). I know some that will sell you cases of the soda they import.

I LOVE guarana.

Yep, Antarctica has some good stuff. Guaranà, not only beers. http://www.antarctica.com.br

You can find it in the States in some Latin American stores. I find with big difficulty cachaça, but guaranà should be easier. Theck Brazilian and even big Mexican stores in your area. And they could be even in the liqor store.

I normally buy it in the big plastic containers (1,5 or 2 litres)

These places seem to sell it online:
