Just got an email from my rep:

--M9020LL/A: PMG5 1.6GHz/256MB/80GB/SuperDrive--$1399.00 (take another $50 off if AplCare is added). ($1599 on the website, currently)

--M9031LL/A: PMG5 1.8GHz/512MB/160GB/SuperDrive--$1499.00 ($1899 under "Special Deals")

Don't know if I'm special or what.... but I need a dual. I'm more interested in what this may portend....

it's almost tax time--theyre just trying to empty inventory on old products.

I happened stop by the UCLA student store. It seemed like everything was on sale:
PB 15" 1.25GHz 1999
PM G5 1.8 GHz 1499
PM G5 1.8GHz DP 1999

Were three that jumped out at me. All were in stock and ready to go at around $300 less than the usual Educational pricing.

That's very encouraging. Good deal if you buy now. Revised models if you wait a little longer. You can't loose either way. If only my university had a campus computer store. :\

$2099 for a dual 2.0??? Sounds awful low to me.
