I shamelessly stole this from Atrios.
Washington Journal (http://www.c-span.org/homepage.asp?Cat=Series&Code=WJE&ShowVidNum=6&Rot_Cat_CD=WJ&Rot_HT=206&Rot_WD=&ShowVidDays=15&ShowVidDesc=&ArchiveDays=30)
Watch the 23 September program and seek ahead to one hour, 56 minutes and 43 seconds (1:56:43). Then listen at your pleasure and watch the face of the host.

It's kind of hard to be impressed when all I get is silence and blackness. I've tried on two difference computers, my Mac first, and then a PC, and I get nothing except the Real Player time index ticking forward through the nothingness.
I can see the 09/22/2004 program just fine, however.
I couldn't watch it the first two times, but after opening the 9/22 program, it let me view the 9/23 program.
I wasn't going to write anymore, in fact I wasn't even going to respond at all. But that is the most vile, hate-filled crap I've ever heard. I'm literally sitting here with knots in my chest. That was utterly disgusting to listen to. It sickens me to thinks that people like that actual exist.

I've tried a few more times, even after and during playing the 9/22 program, and still no luck.
Maybe this means the servers are too busy to keep up with the number of people trying to stream today's show, and if so, perhaps things will be easier tomorrow.

Finally got it to work... wow. Scary.
I'm sure people like that only account for, oh, say 30% of the people voting for Bush. :D

This is only a latest example of crazy Republican C-Span callers. I remember a few months ago, some old man (sounded in his ~70-80s) called and said all of america's problems started when women got the right to vote.

This woman is a disgusting bigot.
I'm slightly skeptical of the over-the-topness. Especially when he asks about her church and she struggles to name a church she visits, which I'm guessing wouldn't be too hard for most people to do.
That said, it's probably legit and totally sick.

I'm not so sure that this is unusual. I think there are a number of people out there who say that they have a "personal relationship with Jesus" who don't attend any particular church, or any church at all.

many folk around my area get all of their religious fulfillment off the eleventeen religious channels we have broadcast in-state.
edit: oh good lord, i just realized AFTER i posted this that she's from kenner. well, i can't say i'm surprised. what does shock me is that this state somehow elected a woman democrat governor in the last election... except when you figure in that all the "bubbas" (as they are affectionately known) couldn't bring themselves to vote for a non-white bobby jindal.

She said she's a church goer, and when he asked where she attends, she gave it a moments thought and said something to the effect of "one here in Louisiana"

She said several and then mentioned the Catherdral in NO . . .
Maybe if she really went to shcurch unstead of listening to her God-loving racist hubby and his beer-swilling friends she wouldn't have such assbackwards ideas?
