Today, the US sold Israel 500 Bunker Buster bombs.
It is pretty much thought that the sale is in order to shut down Iran's Uranium enrichment facillities.
I think that this may be the only alternative, and yet, at the same time it will appear to be a direct action taken by both the US and Israel againnst a sovereign Middle Eastern country that is predominately Muslim (not Arab though).
The Nation States in the region may, as some have said here, breath a silent sigh of relief when teh facilities are bombed, but clearly the already charged anti-Israel and Anti-US street will ignite . . . seeing this as further proof that OBL is right and that the "West' just wants to occupy
. . . never mind that this tactic makes an invasion unecessary . . . t is all about appearances . . .
anyway . . . it has me baffled: is it a good move to bomb these facilities?
Would Iran actually use them for power stations?

Why ? Alternative to what ?
Why shouldn't Iran have this capability iyo ?
Would they (could they ?) be more of a danger with such capacity than N Korea ? Israel ? Bush ?
I would argue that it was the MAD scenario of USSR/US that kept peace for 50 years and conversely, that the demise of the same scenario has unleashed (unhinged ?) the US and transmogrified it into the rabid dog that is currently running amok threatening us all and which so urgently needs to be recaged.

It won't appear to be - it actually will be. Let's tell it like it is.
The Nation States in the region may, as some have said here, breath a silent sigh of relief when teh facilities are bombed,
Which ones ? Get real - the only one that would remotely fit that bill is the biggest oppressor in the region anyway - and they won't be heaving a sigh of anything. Don't need to - they have by far the biggest military capability in the area and if that's not enough when they say jump the US gets out the trampoline.
but clearly the already charged anti-Israel and Anti-US street will ignite . . . seeing this as further proof that OBL is right and that the "West' just wants to occupy
What you have to understand is that Obl's ideas are the product of the Middle Eastern daily experience - not the other way round. There can be no 'proof' that Obl was right because everyone living in the region already knows the truth of this and has done for decades. Obl was just one of those people - one who went to an extreme. That doesn't invalidate the initial injustice.
. . . never mind that this tactic makes an invasion unecessary . . . t is all about appearances . . .
Trust me ....it won't make an invasion unnecessary.
anyway . . . it has me baffled: is it a good move to bomb these facilities?
Well, let's see......it's another Bush/Neocon brainwave that's primarily designed as a bonus top-up to Uncle Ariel's monthly cheque.....
there may be an element of doubt......
