Simple question about new iMacs

Have they been upgraded (in any way) since their original release? What I mean is what was the lowest speced one they made and what optical drive did it come with. (I want to know what the most stripped flat screen iMac existed from apple [unaltered by the end user]). Thax!

As far as I'm aware, the only 'upgrade' has been the addition of the high end model with a 17 inch wide screen LCD and NVIDIA GeForce4 MX graphics card. I believe all the others models are the same as when they were first released, nearly a year ago, except for the price.

So has anyone seen an new Flat Screen iMac with specs worse then these....

No, that is the bottom-end flat-panel iMac. And I suspect it will be gone after MWSF.
