i recently bought a Lexar USB 2 multi-card reader to tranfer photos and movies from a 1gb SD card to my powerbookG4/1.5GHz. unfortunately transfer speed is comparable to USB 1 at best. i reformatted the card through the computer and thru the camera (canon ixus 40/ sd 300) - but that didn't help any.
has anyone had any experience with these card readers?
any idea why the transfer speed is so slow?
any suggestions for another hi-speed card reader that actually works?
