Right. I've found out that the font for Apple's website is called Myriad Pro Semibold http://www.answers.com/topic/ipod-myriad-pro-semibold-png (recognise it?)

can anyone find a link for me (and anyone else) to download this font?

That's not the font that Apple uses but it is very similar.

The font that Apple uses is a specially made variation on Myriad called MyriadApple.

or you can just to an Apple Store and copy it off one of the machines and e-mail to yourself, at least that is what I did.....

What?!! Just go to adobe's type page and download it ($$).

Myriad Pro contains the "Semibold" flavor.

(which is pretty close)

Myriad Pro (and all of the light and bold flavors) comes packed in with Adobe products such as Photoshop.

I use it extensively in my designs as it is a classy font without being old fashioned and has a modern touch.
