Dual 1 gig/OSX 10.2.4 Sleep Waking Problems

I have a dual gig, mirror drive powermac running osx 10.2.4.

I am having real problems waking the computer from sleep. The display wakes fine (i put it on a different timing), but when the hard disk wakes up, it freezes the screen saver and I have to reboot.

I have reinstalled 10.2.3 combo and 10.2.4, but same problem.

Any suggestions? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

I also have a dual gig MDD. I have no problems with wake from sleep as long as I connect my monitor via the VGA port. When I use the DVI port, I get some flickering pixels on the screen (but not the problems you mention). There are threads on the sleep problem on the apple discussion forums, too.
