It's out:
<a href="http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/starcraft/patches/" target="_blank">StarCraft for Mac OS X</a>
<a href="http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/broodwar/patches/" target="_blank">Brood War for Mac OS X</a>

:D :D :D

I'll report back when I've installed them!

both patches seem to work well...the only thing that is bothering me is that the game starts up much slower now. It takes about 10 secs to startup for me!! I'm on a dual 800 w/ 640 RAM!!! <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

Wow... I am impressed! Everything seems to working great (except for the startup time, but I'll forgive that). The sound is nicely in sync (unlike in Classic) so a line of siege tanks properly go "shzz shzz shzz shzz thunk thunk thunk thunk". :) Replays are much smoother at higher speeds in the Carbon version.

Thanks Blizzard! It's nice to see your dedication to the Mac!

Well done port. This is a fine example of how to do a proper carbonization job. Not quick and sloppy. Way to go Blizzard. Working much better than I thought it could, and the colors no longer even screw up when switching window modes. Bravo! :D

Mine stalls at the startup screen. The music repeats and repeats then everything crashes. I am the only one who couldve blotched this no brainer installation. At the time it seemed logical to remove the old files...

Patch works great here. Blizzard is the example for others to follow.

I just trashed all the old files and reinstalled from the CDs, I get the same error.
