For the record (not to argue about any given mods, and please don't do so here), since I saw my post mentioned elsewhere (as possible cause for the Theo/Evo thread lock?) I'd like to say one thing and then you can lock this all you want.
I was in the middle of editing my apparently controversial post to take the seeming terseness out of it (a terseness borne of succinctness, not malice) but the thread was locked by then.
I'd have preferred this to be my actual post:
God*, as a solution, is a copout. It's metal laziness. Creation — that which is all around us, in us, and what we are made of, deserves honest, rigorous inspection, not blinders imposed by arbitrary dogma.
(*By "God" I mean any theistic, supernatural solution).
...because I'm not picking on, say, Christianity. But *any* literal god/gods...
Mods here can do whatever they want, though, I of course agree. I'm just clarifying my post and intent publicly. Argue over moderation policy (or don't) in a suggestions thread elsewhere, or wherever the mods want you to, please. ;)
