This is a race I've been following pretty closely. It was an interesting campaign.

One day I heard Schundler and Forrester on a local radio debate. It was some of the most entertaining politics I've heard, though they didn't talk issues much. Schundler was absurdly and hilariously negative, and Forrester responded in kind. But for pure entertainment value, I'm telling you, I've never heard two guys just beat the living shit out each other like that. It was like amateur boxing! The host, Michael Smerconish, could not even get a word in.

Personally, I think Forrester stands a better chance than Schundler at beating Corzine, though I don't that chance is very big to begin with. Corzine is made for the state (though I should say, I seriously despise Corzine).

One final note: This campaign began SO long ago. It was insane. I heard Doug Forrrester ads on the radio early in the fall...perhaps sooner. I can't imagine the money he spent. And Schundler was so supremely negative for the entire campaign. Honestly, I don't think I heard him talk about a single thing he'd do if elected.

Not sure if anyone will be interested in this, since it's more of a local race....

Why do you despise a politician who doesn't represent you and as far as I can tell has done nothing other than be a good democrat?

Or did I just answer my own question?

That really isn't the point of the thread, but whatever. I just dislike him for his manner and his policies. Perhaps despise is too strong a word.
