Osama is in Iran

Well actually he isn't because he's dead and even if he wasn't he would be if he ever set foot there because he is an extremist Sunni who has raised killing Shi'ites to an artform, but I digress....

According to the White Ho...err... I mean News 24, Osama is not only in Iran but he is in and out of Iran on a regular basis (http://www.news24.com/News24/World/News/0,,2-10-1462_1720191,00.html).

In fact he has a frequent flyer Air Miles deal worked out and a suite at the Teheran Hilton.

This little gem comes from the notorious 'Ali' who features prominently in Weldon's 'book' Countdown to Terror (gotta love those academic egghead titles) which is a masterpiece of pure comedy gold - if you can forget that it's main design is to legitimize thousands more innocent deaths.

So basically they're trotting out the old 'Osama' routine again (as if they cared about him anyway) to get the sheep bleating in tune with the war drums - and just for good measure they wheeled out Zarqawi too last week. He also is 'in and out of Iran'. Wooden leg, mortal death wound and all.

And in case we don't get the subtext here the Bush admin has also been keeping an eye on the upcoming elections in the country (unlike our allies Saudi and Uzbekistan, there are actually elections in Iran and, shock horror, it seems women can vote ! ).

Of course the US want to support this democratic process and have issued their own unique message of support to the Irani voters itching to exert their democratic rights:

But if he isn't, then he is either in a CIA safe house (he presumably still has lots of old associates ands acquaintances at the agency), or under some other sort of government 'protection'. The architects of the so-called "war on terror" are in enormous debt to bin Laden: without his manufactured image and status, the neocons and their supporters would be without an booga-booga icon with which to scare the bejesus out of gullible Americans, or spend hundreds of billions of hard earned tax dollars on wars to further enrich big defense and oil corporations.
