Well, we all know which came first.

I watched the Mini Series (2004) though, (haven't watched full season 1, just pilot miniseries), and it brought back good memories of Wing Commander 1 and 2, and Privateer. Note: the GAMES, not the ill-fated and dreadful Wing Commander movie.

those Cylon fighters look remarkably like Dralthi.... know what i mean?

also great Space Above And Beyond-type feel in Battlestar new series. the physics, utilitarian-ism of space travel

Battlestar with the 'earth myth' thing also has a bit of ancient-astronaut spin to our current 'reality', not bad...

i don't know why... used to pick this things up fast, the 12 colonies 'caprica', geminon, arion(?) etc... all word plays on the star signs, with 'earth' being a legendary 13th star sign? heh... interesting :smokey:
