The head of the CIA claims the agency knows where Osama is hiding (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/4110786.stm) but doesn't seem to be in any sort of rush to do anything about it.

The reasons for this are yet another unbelievably obscene public display of hypocrisy and decrepitude:

Mr Goss said it was unlikely Bin Laden would be brought to justice until "we strengthen all the links" in the chain in the US-led hunt for terror suspects.

"When you go to the very difficult question of dealing with sanctuaries in sovereign states, you're dealing with a problem of our sense of international obligation, fair play.

"We have to find a way to work in a conventional world in unconventional ways that are acceptable to the international community."

International obligation ? Fair Play ? Wtf ?????? This is un****ing-believable.

And this is Pakistan remember - a supposed ally. Who believes this crap really (ok, don't answer that - I know and it was rhetorical) - if they 'knew for sure' he was in Iran or Syria they wouldn't be fannying around bleating about 'fair play'.

Yet more lies, hypocrisy and insincerity. In fact the whole article is a lie itself as they don't know where the **** Osama is (unless he's on the payroll and they mean some safehouse somewhere).

I think he is saying this for the mouth pieces out there who believe, honestly, that the full fury of the US is being held back because of internationalism... It is crap, yes, but it is an astute political move, solidifying the base into believing that the admin knows what its doing and is being held back by those pansy internationalist, like Kerry... etc etc etc...

If Bush /Cheney would send their kids into Iraq I would say then maybe we should help them? Did they. You bet not, Chickenhawks suck, Osama still roams free but we did get Saddam for $300 Billion and counting. This kind of crap is why we dont have a Healthcare system that takes care of everyone in the U.S.

I don't believe they located him, really.
The excuse they gave, for not be able to caught him, is laughable. Bush admin do not give a rat ass, about international legitimacy, when it's related to war on terrorism.

They could find a better excuse to explain the lack of result in the hunt of OBL.

Porter Goss knows where Osama bin Laden is. Of course he does, dammit. OBL is a CIA operative, and has been for years. The reason nobody's grabbed him and claimed that $25,000,000 reward is because he is most probably in a CIA safe house. This administration needs the specter of superstar OBL to continue the WOT and keep gullible Americans in a perpetual state of edginess.

Perhaps they know that he is in Iran? They did not say what the soverign state was, you are just assuming that it is Pakastan.

What Porter Goss said was that he "has an excellent idea of where bin Laden is."

That doesn't mean he knows specifically where he is. That very well could mean he knows what "region" he's in.

This "story" is nothing but media hype. There is nothing new here.

On the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001. Porter Goss was having breakfast with Lt. Gen. Mahmud Ahmed. At the time, Ahmed was the head of ISI, the Pakistani Intelligence Agency. Ahmed was the man who personally wired up to $300,000 to the bank account of 9-11 hijacker Mohamed Atta, in several instalments of up to $100,000 at a time, during the months leading up to the attacks.

Why would the man who provided the funding for the lead hijacker of 9-11 be having breakfast with our current CIA director on that morning? Why has Ahmed not been brought to task to explain just exactly WTF he was doing, by financing Atta? Something about this little scenario raises a red flag or 12.

Just like every other conceivable aspect of 9-11.

This one fails to mention that Ahmed funded Atta, but did say that he had close links with OBL and AQ.

I apologize for failing to locate a Fox, CNN, ABC, CBS, MSNBC etc. etc. article on the fact that Bush's CIA appointee was buddy-buddy'ing with Mohamed Atta's sugar daddy on the morning of 9-11.

'Google' Mahmud and Goss, and theres pages and pages and pages of "independent media" type links, which on average are no less reliable than corporate media links.
