Help me set up a studio recording room

OK, I'm helping someone rig up their recording studio room, and this is the issue I'm faced with:

I need to know what the options are for completely removing a Mac tower out of the soundproof room, but still have a monitor attached to it. Am I going to have to resort to drilling a hole in the wall and running extension cable, or is there some brilliant technology out there that I'm unaware of that perhaps you fine folks are?
