Looks like the Department of Homeland Insecurity will shortly be catapulting the propaganda by sending 'terror alerts' to your mobile phones and interrupting websites to display the no doubt spurious warnings that will serve to cow the hapless populace even further.

"Anything that can receive a text message will receive the alert," Homeland Security Department spokesman Aaron Walker said Tuesday. "We find that the new digital system is more secure, it's faster and it enables us to reach a wide array of citizens and alert them to pending disasters."

Obviously there is no opt-out and the laws on spam and importuning obtrusive marketing calls - let alone truthful description - will not be operative.

You WILL hear the messages. You WILL welcome them and accept them as normal. You WILL voice no complaint.

Large screens with Bush's face issuing dictats are only a few more turns of the screw away....

Did you even read the whole article?
"Before the broadcast happens, people should likely have a choice whether to receive it," Swire said.

Walker said consumers will have a chance to opt out of the alerts.

Yes I did. Walker - obedient mouthpiece that he is - only surmises this and he has nothing to do with the final decision. In fact he was only put in the article to re-assure the sheep imo.

Thank you. Your "imo" makes a difference when you say things like...
Obviously there is no opt-out...
...especially when the article says the exact opposite. Sorry if it was not obvious to me and I called you on it.
