The systematic abuse of Iraqis by the US during the current war has risen a gear.

Or rather evidence has emerged that it has long been far worse than has been known - primarily because the 'free' western media never report it. However, it seems like the truth is slowly emerging.

US forces have ben accused of the systematic kidnapping and torture (http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/US_may_have_kidnapped_families_of_0714.html) of the families of people already detained (on no evidence and without trial) in US camps.

Such is the weight of the evidence that Rumsfeld has been served a subpoena (http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2006/07/14/kidnap/index_np.html?source=whitelist) and has till Friday to turn over to Congress documents on the abuse that he has in his possession.

The Salon article linked above outlines the issue:

Salon has obtained Army documents that show several cases where U.S. forces abducted terror suspects’ families. After he was thrown in prison, Cpl. Charles Graner, the alleged ringleader at Abu Ghraib, told investigators the military routinely kidnapped family members to force suspects to turn themselves in.

There is no end to the depravity and sickness. One starts to seriously consider the possibility of the objective existence of evil.

It's just yet another example of Bush & co.'s attitude of " We're above the law ".
