what am i doing wrong here? i'm trying to do a lesson plan reflection for class with the lesson plan on the left side of a 1x2 table and a reflection on the right side. so i paste the lesson plan into the left side -- obviously it's longer than one page. well instead of wrapping the table onto a second page, it just disappears. what the fuck. when i did the exact same thing into word it just did what is natural and wrapped it onto the second page.

there's a lot more after what pages cuts me off at.

can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong? it's got to be me...pages can't be this stupid.

Although I can offer no help because I am dead tired, I will say that Word whoops Pages at darn near everything besides 5th grade reports and papers. :( I hope one day that changes.

It looks like you just can't do a table that spans multiple pages. That's probably a pretty good policy actually, although I agree with you that it should let you do it if you want. Mind if I ask why you want this to be in a table? What do you mean by a reflection? If you want half the page to be blank, couldn't you just set the margins so the right half of the page is left blank?

I have just started using OpenOffice 2.0, and it is superb, knocks MS Office into a cocked hat! And it's free. It runs on all platforms. No need to pay MS ever again. Imports and exports into MS Office. I don't know whether it will do what you were trying to do, but if not, still worth using as your no. 1 Office app.;) ;)

I guess you're fine then, eh?

KSS, for word processing I guess so.

I always thought of Pages as more of a simple and fairly weak page design program than a word processor. That said, Pages does fine for the tasks that I bought it to do, and it does it for me with less fuss than I could with any other program I've tried.
