Power Book G4..."Is My Computer Dead?"

Hello MACworld...

my Power Book G4 powers up but does not go to the start up menu...the activation noises rings from the speakers then the blue screen comes up then stays like that.

if any one can help out that would be great...any advice will be greatly appreciated

Have you tried booting into yout OS X install disk? If that boots ok, I'd suspect a corrupt Finder.

An Archive & Install might be needed. Do you have a backup :\ just in case it's a faulty drive?
