View Full Version : A Conversation In Song Titles
midwinter
07-29-2007, 03:19 AM
A friend of mine and I used to play a game where we had a conversation only using song titles (we used to play an easier one where we only spoke in bits of lyrics, but that'll serve for a later project).
Shall we?
Please provide the song title and, after, the artist and album.
I'll start with a question:
"Isn't it nice to be home again?" (James Taylor, Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon)

I think we can do better people than 2 - 3 post sentences. You can to try to either build on the previous post's idea and/or give the next poster somewhere to go. But ending sentences without adding to the previous poster's ideas is a wimp. Not allowed.
eg. "Creepin' Up Slowly" followed by "I'll Be creeping". dmz you ended the sentence when you could have gone on with just about any idea from there. But you started the next sentence by restating what we already know - namely that there's some creeping going on.
Don't get all sulky on me. You're not the only one. There are others who aren't trying their hardest. Anybody can create two phrase disjointed sentences. We're better than that and we're up to the challenge. Let's go get 'em!
Everybody shout YEAH! in a highly motivated voice and punch the air now.
Right back to it.

I turn my back for 10 hours and look what they've done to my song, ma. What's so funny about peace, love and understanding? Shawn please don't drag me into spats in my absence. You were being a prat about it which is why I phrased my comments as I did.
It was obvious FL had picked up on midwinter's idea. No it doesn't always make for the best replies but he's the only one doing it, we all know he's obsessed with The Radiators and such eccentricities in threads is something we do well. Or did. FL stop baiting him.
