iChat not making noises anymore

hey guys, recently iChat has just stopped making noises, like when I send and recieve im's it dosent do the sounds. i went through the preferences menu and turned on sounds, and did the little test, the speakers are fine, but it just wont do the noises.

Any help would really help.
P.S. iChat is working fine, it connects, ims everything is working as it should. the little jingles are the only thing not working.

Edit: the noises are back, Im not sure what caused it not to make the noises, but it was fixed. I restarted my computer and it works fine now.
