In Ontario, Canada, there is an election going on for the provincial goverment.
One issue cropping up is funding all religious schools with the public purse. Now, Catholic schools are funded due to something that exists as such:

Is it right to say all or nothing?
If so, does this mean alienating the Catholic status quo and stopping funding as required by the law?
Or should they all be funded - as long as (and this is the key) they meet the requirements of a cirriculum?
And allow anyone to attend said schools.
I think any school should be funded if it meets the requirements, as the religious part of it is irrelevant.
It's not like they teach that you believe in this doctrine or your soul is lost.
They just teach what you should believe - not what you have to belive to get a passing grade.
Incidentally, the current Premier of the province, who is against funding all faiths, is a Catholic whose wife has a job teaching in a Catholic school. Maybe it's just a matter of funding the "right" faith-based school.
