I, like everyone else that doesn't have one, would like an iPhone.
My dilemma like so many, is should I wait or should I just go for it?
Before that is answered on, here is my possible problem. As of right now I am a US citizen, but I am moving to Australia for school, and probably going to end up with a citizenship if possible. So my question is, how well will the iPhone work in AU? e.g.
Will I be able to unlock the phone, and use say "Optus", "Vodafone" etc. With Sim based companies obviously.
But how will it run with a different "non-iphone" supporting company?
Will safari work without a wifi connection?
Edge network in AU?
Visual Voicemail (i doubt that, since that's a at&t only thing)?
If it doesn't seem like a non-at&t company sounds like it would be "ok" then, does anyone know the international rates I'd have to pay? I'm sure they are just outrageous, but doesn't hurt to know. Thanks.
