Is it safe to upgrade to iTunes 7.7? I need help now!

Is it safe to upgrade to iTunes 7.7? Should I upgrade now or should I wait? There are apps I want to buy from app store, like jirbo break, which is free now but won't be for long (Its only free for a limited time), so should I upgrade now or wait until this jailbreak 2.0 firmware thing happens? Do you think the jailbreak thing will work with Itunes 7.7 or should I wait and find out?

So someone please tell me if you think I should upgrade to iTunes 7.7 or stay with iTunes 7.6.2 and wait and see if the jailbreak 2.0 thing will work with iTunes 7.7. Thanks:) Please reply ASAP

Are you talking about jb for unlocking or for unauthorized apps? If your phone is unlocked, I strongly advise you not to touch anything until the developer gives it the green light. If you are only talking about apps, I heard that 2.0 has already been jb. Don't know for sure, but I suspect that would be ready for the latest iTunes. My advice, however, is to leave the dark side altogether and go completely legit if all you want are apps. The app store is a real game changer. Developers who offered jb apps free are now starting to sell their apps and get paid for their efforts. So I don't so much advantage now that 2.0 is out.

There have been no reports of iTunes 7.7 causing any problems. I would go ahead and upgrade.

I would wait another day or two on upgrading your iPhone to 2.0. You can still download jirbo for free now but wait to install it until you upgrade you phone.
