iPhone loudspeaker...

Hello all!

I am posting this to check whether I have a dud speaker in my iPhone. There are two grills on the bottom of the device. When the front of the phone is facing me, if I cover the left one with my thumb, any sound (speakerphone, music, games) is completely stopped. If I cover the right, the sound continues undisturbed.

Is this typical of everyone else's iPhone? Anyone fancy checking for me? :)

Yes, this is normal. The left is the speaker, the right is the mic.

Ah, my bad, the left grill is a speaker, the right is a microphone.
