I just got my sisters bestfriends old G1 iPhone. It had some weird picture on the screen & I couldn't get it off, so I plugged it ion & restored it. But after I restored it, it was all weird. Like, it says "Slide for emergancy" & I can only do that... I cannot use iTunes or anything...

This is what it looked like BEFORE I restored it:

Does anyone know what might be wrong with it?

PLEASE NOTE: I am new to the iPhone. This is my first one. & It was used, so I dnt have a user manual.

LOL your out of your depth.

These screenshots are totally normal, and no being able to see your iPhone in iTunes is normal too.

If you don't plan on signing up for an AT&T contract and you're on a Mac you'll have to unlock and jailbreak your phone by using this app (http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/45276976/good-morning).

If you can't figure out to use it come back for a chat, you should be fine though. You iPhone should then show up in iTunes and you should be able to insert any Sim card.

The key would being should, there are no guarantees.

you need admin privileges to install WinPwn. I dnt have admin. lol.
Is there anything else?
I tried ZiPhone when my phone was in recovery mode & it didnt work.
I also tried Brickr, but it froze my phone & put it in recovery mode.

WinPwn is the only one that will work on 2.0, and you're on 2.0 since you restored your iPhone.
