View Full Version : Too casual?

From these photos it's clear that Michelle dresses casually, wearing Madras shorts to walk Bo.
Slightly Wal★Mart if you ask me.

"Back from her tour of western Europe, Michelle Obama took the family dog, Bo, for a walk on the White House lawn Sunday. Right after Bo's move to the White House in April, the First Lady told a crowd of children that she would be devoting a lot of time to the new dog. From Sunday's photos it looks like she's still on dog duty."

I agree. When North Korea manages to send a nuke at South Korea or Japan, and when Iran manages to do the same thing to Israel, those shorts are going to be totally inappropriate!

I recall the horror voiced, voiced and voiced again over Obama's casual wear in the Oval office and what an insult it was to the office... until photos of GW dressed similarly showed up.

Oh, the arms! The arms!

She touched the queen! She touched the queen! And was invited back.

Oh, but now we have FEAR™ once again; everybody is going to attack everybody so we all have to wear black ties and evening dresses for the occasion.

Michelle is a normal person who doesn't let the office get to her and make her try to act a particular role. She is who she is and that's her charm.

Not that I'n not worried about NK, Iran, double digit unemployment, etceteras, because I'm not.

But if that's what all you spend all your time on ... :(

Perhaps this belongs in AO, ask the mod to move it, otherwise quit complaining about things you have no direct control over. :\

Perhaps this belongs in PO because this is what the left spends their time on.

Frank, do us all a favor and head over to HuffingtonPost.com (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/) and see what makes up the leftist daily news cycle. We have among other exciting news...

-ComedyWATCH Jon Stewart: Ahmadinejad Is Bats**t Insane
-PoliticsWATCH: Bill Maher, On "Countdown," Says Obama Needs More Audacity
-StyleCasual Sunday: Michelle Obama Takes Bo For A Walk (PHOTOS) (The basis of this thread)
-StyleMichelle Obama's Friendship With Queen Revealed After Rare Private Visit

The whole thing is a crapfest of intentions, who blasts who, who thinks what about who, what evil conservative caricatures can we peddle today and which comics can we use to peddle them, etc.

The reason he posted the thread in PO is because as HuffPo notes, these ARE the concerns of the left. This represents their thought. Bush kept us safe but Obama will "improve relations" with the world and make people "like us more."

When your electoral platform is people are going to like us more, your news source is going to read like a gossip column.

The internets? Get a clue, most real people I know don't spend much time on the internets for the express purpose of the internets being their primary news source.

The appropriate euphemism to use here? Making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Why? When you said, commenting on MO's $540 shoes recently.

"In a just world this is the kind of shit that would kill a political movement. But this is not a just world."

Surely you take what MO wears very, very seriously?;)

Listen man, this stuff is IMPORTANT, IMPORTANT I tell you!

Why when I wander over to Huffington Post today, the central news repository for the political left, I see very important information you and I should both read.

For example I peruse the most popular stories there. (Because we all know that popular means it is right) and I see the following...

Megan Fox's Open Thigh Snake Dress (PHOTOS)
Leno Told Similar Joke About Palin's Daughter
Historical Keepsake Photo: Tennessee GOP Staffer Emails Racist Obama...
Letterman Apologizes To Palin: "I Told A Joke That...
Bill Mann Americans Who've Used Canada's Health-Care System Respond...(gotta love the anecdotal)
Cenk Uygur Iranian Elections Were Obviously Rigged
Famous Couples With Taller Women: Is Height Just A...
Ken Levine What Rush Limbaugh Really Thinks of You...

I'm sorry for the HuffPo folks today. They managed to keep a real piece of news in their reading about how Republcians hate them, how the pretty stars on TV want them to think and how the funny comedians want them to laugh.

I'm sure they'll get rid of that real news by tomorrow.

A lot of the stories on the front page of Huffington Post are trivial, but it includes the stories from across it's categories such as Entertainment, Style, Comedy etc.

"Despite its liberal leanings, Republican members and aides have begun heading to the Huffington Post to talk up their views."

"NEW YORK (Reuters) - The ensemble worn by Michelle Obama on Inauguration Day goes on display on Wednesday, allowing the public a first close-up look at the design that helped earn the first lady praise for her fashion sense.

"This is now one of the most famous dresses in the world," said Valerie Steele, chief curator at The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology, which is hosting the exhibit. "It's become a piece of history.""

That is BS. If you are the head of state, then your staff needs to know where you are 24/7 - that does not mean that the general public needs to know.

Stanford took off out of the country without telling anyone, if Obama did that there would be a big stink also.

I'm thinking the public does need to know. The public doesn't get a say in the agenda is all. I don't think knowing where someone is violates their privacy. My employer knows where I am, every hour they pay for the privilege of benefiting from my labor.

Clearly loads of politicians manage to do things wrong so clearly their actions and whereabouts are not accounted for all the time.

It's been revealed, by The Huffington Post that Obama finds the shine police irritating-

"Obama also came clean about one of his pet peeves _ the "shine police." The president says that before his interviews, aides "constantly want to powder my nose and forehead, and it's never enough."

He finds that _ in his words _ "quite irritating."

I don't think Michelle feels that way about it, but that wasn't reported on as yet.

The article also revealed-

"Now it can be told: President Obama says one of the best-kept secrets at the White House is the pastry chef's to-die-for pie.

In an interview with The Associated Press on Thursday, Obama was asked to reveal a White House secret, and he dished about the pie.

Obama says the pastry chef makes "the best pie I have ever tasted, and that has caused big problems with Michelle and I."

The president said he and the first lady are "having to figure out how to resist ordering pie every night."

Some wingers might find it difficult to swallow that The Obama's are enjoying delicious pies but please note, if your not liberally inclined you shouldn't be reading this left wing, smokescreen, infuriating, UN loving, CC combating propaganda by the liberally controlled media hellbent on destroying your country.

For the rest of us here's hoping we get some even juicier stories for you to go "Aaah Shucks that sooo cute" instead of getting bogged down in Iraq, sorry I mean bogged down in real issues, which are meaningless to us liberal elite flip flopper types.

Stay tuned for more breaking stories on our Supreme Leaders in "The Obama's" updates.
