Parallels question!

i created a virtual machine from an iso file on my hard drive. after its been created do i have to keep the iso file or can i delete it?

    Virtual machines sometimes need to be Thrashed (e.g when they're infected: like when my Windows 7 vm – in VMware Fusion – got infected by Conficker). You will then need that ISO file to rebuild that vm.

    Delete it. Use Time Machine and/or snap shots if at some point in time the VM blows up
