software delay, fixable or imaginary ?
I notice that when I use windows xp professional
with photoshop, the jpg images that I open, POP, instantly on the screen
when I use mac os x leopard, there is an extremely slight delay to which the difference
is very small, the windows don't POP instantly on the screen, the windows tend to take their time a bit to open
sometimes it makes me feel like windows is slightly faster in that specific aspect of minimizing, maximizing windows and opening jpeg, psd files in photoshop, finder window, folder windows, etc ... Or is it an effect activated in mac os x that makes the windows slightly delayed when I say slightly delayed, I mean like the delay is sometimes barely noticeable, I notice it because I am always in front of photoshop, dreamweaver and illustrator opening, closing, minimizing and maximizing windows in the computer labs between dell PCs, iMacs and Mac pros
did i explain clearly, is there a way to fix that delay, did anyone experience it ?
on the other hand, when previewing jpegs and movie files using the space bar, rendering or other hefty tasks, the mac os x is very agile and stable
