Random LPR Printing
We are a small design studio with about 20 macs and a couple of PC's. All our printing is LPR to 2 Xerox copiers and 1 Epson. RIP is common to all three. We are having people send files to one queue on the RIP, and it comes out of a different queue entirely.
System used to be different with three RIPs, and problem still occurred. Somehow, the machines are printing to different LPR queues than they are meant for. Different IP addresses before, and now that it's all the same IP on a single RIP, it's hopping between different queues. Never had problem with PCs that I'm aware of. Mac's affected seem to be running OS 10.4.11.
Unknown if our 10.5.x machines have this problem.
