Can you update a Vista Bootcamp partition to Windows 7?

Hey guys, I have a a question I can't answer. I am currently using Windows Vista Professional via Bootcamp. If I try to update to Windows 7 from within the Vista partition, will it screw anything up? Will Bootcamp still recognize that it's the Windows partition?
