PowerMac G5 Display Help Needed
I took a G5 in for repair. I brought it home after repair and connected it to my display.
I power up; hold the Option key down; get the Apple logo; and select the boot disk. Within a few seconds the display goes black and I never see the desktop. The G5 continues to boot. I'm pretty sure everything is running normally in the G5 as I can shut it down using the keyboard.
Could the G5 be using a different port on the graphics card? The card has two ports, but I only have a cable that connects to the smaller one. The card must be working since I see the Apple logo and the boot drive icons.
Is there something I can do to 'reset' the display? I guess I'm going to have to take the G5 back in.
Thanks,
AJ
