What display shall i get for my Mac Pro?

Hi,



I have just purchased a Mac Pro and need a new, big display to go with it.

I really like the 30-inch HD Cinema Display, but am worried about it being old technology, and it being refreshed very soon.



Preferably I'd like a matte display with high resolution. It will be used for photo/video editing.



Any suggestions, opinions and advice will be greatly appreciated.

I work with 2x 30" Apple HD Cinema Displays a couple times a week since March (on a Mac Pro quadcore and an MBP). If that is 'old technology' I'll have it anytime! It still makes me pick up my jaw off the floor everytime I flick a good photo to fullscreen!



I much prefer the glossy screens over the matte ones. They're an absolute joy to work with!

Matt wants a matte. That makes sense. I prefer matte displays too. There are a few to choose from:

All matte, all 30". The HP and Dell have the same S-IPS panel, the Samsung has S-PVA. I personally love the style of Dell's display and their warranty seems to be good (zero dead pixels or you get a replacement).
