Verizon and 3G

I am thinking of purchasing a wireless laptop modem from Verizon and signing a contract for



service--do you think that this is foolish at this time since Verizon's 4G service is imminent?



I am willing to junk the modem, but I am concerned about the contract. I was told that I could



not apply the 3G contract towards a 4G contract---

    Depends on if its 1 year 2 year. Depends on how you'll use it

    I am only going to get a one year contract---



    I don't know when 4G will be coming out---I heard it would be in the first quarter of 2010



    but who knows????

    I was told by a customer rep that the contract can be applied to a 4G contract--even though I signed up for the 3G if I buy the new equipment ----two reps on the sales team told me otherwise



    It shows to go you---The phone reps don't know as much as they should---
