Address book

I moved some files around and somehow lost my address book. How can I locate it? Spotlight shows it but doesn't tell me where it is.

    Highlight it in Spotlight and press Command-R

    It has occurred to me that Address Book had not been moved. Evidently, something I did broke a link between Mac Mail and Address Book. I assume that using Spotlight to locate Address Book re-established that link.

    I would love to be technically proficient enough to know what goes on under the hood.
