Magic Mouse Battery Life

Hi,

I've just bought a new iMac two weeks ago and I have nothing bad to say about it except the battery life of the Magic Mouse. When I installed the mouse it was at 100% and the wireless keyboard was also fully charged. Now two weeks later the keyboard is still at 100% but the mouse is at 58% now. Is it normal? Do I really have to change the batteries every 4 weeks? Apple promised a battery life of 4 months. Does anyone else have this issue?

Thank you!

    4 month battery life? Wow.

Based on what kind of usage? Type of battery? Does the mouse ever get turned off (perhaps at night)?

    Lost of factors to consider.

I'm using the Energizer batteries that came with the mouse and I use the mouse for about 2-3 hours a day, which is not much I think. I don't manually turn off the mouse at night. The guy at the store said that wasn't necessary. He said that when you turn down your iMac the mouse goes out automatically. So I think it's quite weird...
