Apple Exchange Policy

Apple are dead quiet about their updates. And am in that typical situation where I need get a mbp, and unfortunately can't wait it out over Jan/Feb to see if they update. Which is a pain, because currently these are end-of-cycle and out of date machines.



Now, apparently if a product updates within 14 days of your purchase you can swap it.



"You can exchange within 14 days of purchase. You will need to pay a 10% restocking fee to do so."



Is this true? And generally applicable worldwide? Thought would check if any of you guys has had experience with this...

    They wouldn't post it if it wasn't true. My only advice is to buy in store rather than online. In store you have the opportunity to talk to a sup or manager and plead your case in person, in front of other would be buyers which can have a tremendous influence

    Apple used to comply with local trade and customer service policies. If fortnight of free exchange is indeed guaranteed by australian legislation, it works in Apple's case, too.
