23" cinema display (aluminum) and new MBP

Hi,



I'm about to order a new 15" macbook pro - will my 23" cinema display (bought in July 2008) work with it or, if not, is there an adaptor I can use?

    I would ask the store so that they are committed.

    Thanks, I just did and was told it *should* work if I get a mini DVI to HDMI adaptor. I wasn't too convinced by this - and I'd like to see if anyone has actually connected this discontinued display successfully to the new MBP.



    So if anyone has any info I'd be pleased to hear from them.

    The new MBP has Mini-displayport not mini-DVI and the Cinema Display had DVI not HDMI.



    You will simply need the Mini-dp to DVI cable:

    Check the box when you get the machine though as it might come with one.
