Upcoming MBP or discount on old MPB
Hello All,
My wife's birthday is coming up, and she needs a new laptop. I've never bought a Mac before, but the iPhone 'halo effect' has done it's work on me and my wife. I know I want to get her a 13" Macbook Pro, and I know that "sometime soon" we should be seeing a refresh.
My wife is by no means a power user, so I'm wondering what kind of deals I might find on the older mac book pros when these new ones are released?
I won't be opposed to buying a used one if it's in perfect condition with all the boxes and such.
Have any of you done this in the past? Will I be kicking myself later?

PS- what do we think of the mac mini? I'd like to get in on the mac train myself....

In the end, I think the iMac is a better value than the Mini. By the time you get a nice keyboard, mouse and display, you are close to the price of a 22.5" iMac.
