Do they exist yet? The prices for laptop BD drives in general are lower than I expected but any slot-loaders available are about 12mm high, which means 17" MBP owners are in luck.

It's strange that this one is available though, yet encouraging. If they can build a 9mm drive that uses a tray then surely a slot format would be easier?

They do exist. Phew. Okay, but they are rather expensive.

That's a 12.7mm slim drive, not a 9.5mm superslim.
