My Day at WWF Axxess

OMG, I had so much fun today, it was a blast. Anyways, as must know I was in a car accident the other week, so I'm on crutches. So we get to the CNE at like 6:05, monster lineup... took like 25 minutes to get in. Once we get in, we take a quick look around and see a bunch of messed up cars they used in Raws/Smackdowns/etc that were destroyed. My sister and her friend wanted to go see the Wrestlers who were doing autographs in the top level. So we go up and its a monster lineup... we ask the guy who it was and they say the Hardy Boyz, and I'm like who the (bleep) would wait in line for them ?! Anyways, I didn't feel like going so I said I'm going to the Pizza Pizza stand to get some food and I'll wait for them there. I get my Pepperoni slice and I'm sitting at the table and Jerome Williams and Tracy Murray stick their head out from behind this curtin, so I start waiving, JYD sees me wearing my Raptor jersey and sticks out his thumb and I walk up and talk to them for a couple of minutes... Then I go back up to tell my sister what just happened and this security dude asks what I'm doing and says people in wheelchairs and crutches don't have to wait in line, I'm like this is money, so I walk up to the front of the line and go right in and meet the Hardy Boyz... Lita wasn't there though So they sign some autographs and shake my hand and say thanks for coming out, asked what was wrong and all that (bleep).. it was very cool... look back still can't see my sister so I head to the next booth and its the Big Show... same thing, right to the front of the line and talk to him for a minute... god damn his hands are huge... his fingers are like cucumbers... so I get his autograph, shake his hand and all, then head back to where my sister is. I see her and tell her what just happened and she freaks out, she tells me to wait while she can continue on in the line and go back to the outter part.. while she was in the middle the Hardy boyz stand up and waive bye to everyone, she's totally freaking out and I'm laughing at her. Test shows up and she's like all depressed and leaves the line and comes to talk to me. They are like totally bumed out but also very hungry, so we head back to Pizza Pizza, but the one on the otherside of the ring. While there Val Venis is doing some photos with Lillian Garcia for like $10 a pop, which is complete bullshit... anyways they leave and they wanted to wait to see who was coming up next.. didn't really feel like waiting a super long time so we go to check out the few booths and stuff, when we get to the key chain and pendant booth the guy goes "Dude you just missed the nWo, Hall and Nash just walked by", I'm like dude you kidding ?, he's like no, they went to the magazine section for autographs, so we go there right away and I head for the Wheelchair section... there was like 4000 people at least waiting to get there and like 6 were before me in my line So a few people go in and then I'm 3rd and this guy goes we're just taking 2 and I'm kind of (bleep)ed but don't say anything cause I didn't hear properly, so about 10 minutes later, the 2 in front of me go in and Hall and Nash get up, and pose for pictures with them, chat a bit and sign their stuff, I'm like holy (bleep)! So its finally my turn and they do the SAME THING! My sis and I go in, they pose for a picture with us, Scott Hall beside me, Kevin Nash beside her, they sign our program and my sister asks for a picture of just the 2 of them and they make a cool pose and we leave. We meet back with my sister's friend at the $10 photo place and she says its gonna be Mr Perfect, but he isn't there yet. So they are in line and I take the cell phone and try to give my buddy a call to tell him what just happened, I'm like totally excited and he can't hear (bleep) cause its so loud. So I go to the corner of the building and call him back, I tell him whats going on and he totally freaks out and tells me to stfu cause I'm killing him... he's like "dont tell me anymore, we'll talk tomorrow, I'm getting all (bleep)ed off that I'm not there" so I finish talking to him and head back and Mr Perfect and Big Boss Man come out, sister and her friend get their picture with them and I get one of them too. So after that we walk around checking out all the cool things and see WWF is putting one of their restaurants in Niagra Falls, pretty cool. We head over to the Hall of Fame section and they have these life size cut outs of Andre the Giant, so I pose in front of one and take a picture. We decide to go back up and see whos up there now. I head to the first one and they just let me and my sister go, and its Booker T! Talk to him, he signs our program and talks to my sister for a bit. So we head over to the next booth since my sisters friend couldn't go in, she goes with me this time. We get to the front and its the (bleep)ing Undertaker! They have all the handicapped people waiting, and then bring them all in when he's doing this promo thing for the WWF that they show during Wrestlemania about Axxess... anyways I'm the last one and he finishes talking to the camera after signing my thing and looks up and goes "Hi, thanks a lot for coming out and being a fan", and shakes my hand and I totally think the camera moved up and I'm gonna be in the video! Anyways, they only let me in, so my sisters friend is somewhat depressed. So we head to the final booth across the building's upper level, walk to the special line again and look over and its friggin Kurt Angle! I talk to him, he wants to shake my hand and all, she got to go with me so she was really happy... and then we head home That is until 9:30 tomorrow morning when I head back to Toronto for the morning session Had so much damn fun, when the pictures get developed, I'll post them for everyone to see

    Dude, take a breath!

I love wrestling, too, that would have rocked so hard! I've always wondered what it would be like to stand next to guys like Nash or Big Show.

Kurt Angle is the man-"I'm crisp and clean with no caffine, bro!"

Fun to watch in the ring too.

Good thing you got to meet Jeff Hardy before he's wheelchair bound-those bumps he takes!

    Are you going to Wrestlemania?

    Jeff

PS-too bad about no Lita-or my personal fave Stacy Keibler!

Course it's fake, but I don't go to the movies and go "that's stupid and fake"...just silly fun entertainment!

Wild popularity of "Professional" Wrestling in US = proof our civilization is decaying rather rapidly. And you may now it's all in good fun, but the sad part is probably a full 80% of the jackasses out there in the crowd screaming - they think it's real / a meaningful event. "Like the Olympics mutherf*^Ker!"

George Carlin is right: most people in this country might as well have a bag of cement inside their skulls, because their brains obviously don't function too well.

OK, so I shouldn't have mentioned the fake part. But it's totally stupid. Beating the shit out of each other is really great

That is a damn long paragraph... As for wrestling, I would never watch it.

I've avoided bringing up wrestling here because I figured there weren't many fans, but in defense of my Monday night guilty pleasure:

Yes, the outcomes of the matches are scripted, and sure, the storylines often get way over the top and silly.

That said, if you get a couple guys that know how to work a match it can be amazing. The bigger guys tend to be kick, punch, blah, but watch wrestlers like Kurt Angle, Lance Storm, Chris Jericho or Chris Benoit, and it's another story. They keep things moving in a logical direction and do some really athletic stuff, all the while protecting their opponents and themselves.

There's also a real risk factor involved, i.e. Jeff Hardy or Rob Van Dam jumping off a 30 foot high ladder through a folding table.

And hey, the T and A ain't bad, either!

Well day 2 is over, wasn't nearly as good cause people abused the crutch situation and like 30 people showed up with crutches, so it ruined the day . They changed the rule and people with crutches couldn't go see them directly, had to stay in line with everyone else. I did get to meet Lance Storm which was cool, sister and her friend met Edge, I was like 5 feet from Triple H, he's a pretty big guy, not to tall though kind of looks funny. Austin was there too, he was playing with the crowd below with the whole 'what' thing. Best part though is I got this amazing Hulk Hogan bobblehead doll. I'll take a picture later and post it when the film gets developed from yesterday and Today... ok day, but nothing could have touched yesterday.

    Amazed....

I can't believe this post is still at the top...

IMHO...this form of "entertainment" has no redeeming value to anybody. It frightens the hell out of me that throngs of gullible people enter, cheer and idolize these steroided, neanderthal morons reliving their backyard trailer trash early-life bragging rights. Hell yeah, it was fun to watch...when I was 10 years old, but honestly I can't watch this crap for more than 5 minutes without reflecting to myself how moronic it is.

Even tractor pulls are better than this...

Of course this is my opinion...I could be wrong...not.

Hey, you don't like that? WELL COME ON DOWN HERE AND TELL IT TO MY FACE!!! RIGHT HERE! RIGHT NOW! SPITTLE, SPITTLLE! AAAAARRRRGGGGHHH! fart...

Im glad that you had a blast, and had a lot of fun.

But not to rain in on your parade I really dont like WWF at all. I find it a little embarassing that is part of our American culture.

Or maybe im bias becuase all of the big 'bully' types that I have met is school have been WWF junkies. So maybe im making a link I shouldnt. But whatever.

But glad you had fun and hope you recover for your injuries soon.

"Male Soap Opera" is another popular one, and I wouldn't disagree.
