There seem to be a lot of psychologists in here...

Hello there,

Following different threads in the last few years at AI, I noticed that there is a large proportion of psychologists (and canadians ) around here.

I think it would be interesting to get to know each other a little bit.

I'm personnaly a psychology student (not yet fixed to a specific school of though, although behaviorist-cognitive-evolutionary and social psych. seems to be my preferred view) here in Montreal. My interests are motivation, procrastination, discipline, decision processes, stress and anxiety (coping and their relation to thought process) and dyslexia mainly but I am interested in a whole range of topics from autism to neuro-degenerative diseases and depression. Schizophrenia is also a fascinating area of study.

As you can see, I have not decided on the specific field that I plan to concentrate on (damn wide interests!)...

What is your story?

Well, I'm not a shrink but I have several. I'm also on powerful psychotropic drugs. Do you have any questions about being loony that I can help you with?

My degree was in cognitive science. After I got my degree I decided it was boring and I've been into more applied stuff recently.
