There seem to be a lot of psychologists in here...
Hello there,
Following different threads in the last few years at AI, I noticed that there is a large proportion of psychologists (and canadians ) around here.
I think it would be interesting to get to know each other a little bit.
I'm personnaly a psychology student (not yet fixed to a specific school of though, although behaviorist-cognitive-evolutionary and social psych. seems to be my preferred view) here in Montreal. My interests are motivation, procrastination, discipline, decision processes, stress and anxiety (coping and their relation to thought process) and dyslexia mainly but I am interested in a whole range of topics from autism to neuro-degenerative diseases and depression. Schizophrenia is also a fascinating area of study.
As you can see, I have not decided on the specific field that I plan to concentrate on (damn wide interests!)...
What is your story?

Just had to use this emoticon. What do you think that means?
There seem to be a lot of psychologists in here...

Matvei, you're displaying paranoid features.
My degree was in cognitive science. After I got my degree I decided it was boring and I've been into more applied stuff recently.

When are Aggies not right?
When the Canadians are.

but everyone knows that canada's opinion doesnt count...
Kyle's Mom : I hate you with your funny voices and your flapping heads
Canadian : Ma'am you are a racist! A racist!
Jim Carrey - ...we hadto build an igloo to protect ourselves from the elements and flying hockey pucks...
All Canadians are psychologists
Therefore all Canadians are always right
QED
Clinical therapy?

Nah, not THAT applied.
I've been into legal issues and I've also got an NIH grant on health-related motivation. Mostly, I buy Macs with the money. I pay grad students with whatever is left over.
