What are all the Canadians here doing today?

I'm making a cake to go with the "Canadian Vanilla, Eh?" ice cream. And I'm also going mountain biking.

I guess it's July 1st already on the east coast.

Well, I'm going to do what every red blooded Canadian does...sit back and enjoy a cold one.

That plus think about how great it is to be a Canadian. I know we are in general, a very low keyed and reserved type people, but perhaps we should in more American like in one way.

That is...we are Canadians first and your ethnicity second. i.e. Canadian-Italian vs. Italian Canadian.

Not doing anything special. Nothing interesting is happening in Ottawa; outside of the obligatory fireworks - and bad performances on Parliament Hill.

    Hey guys,

Say hello to Prof. Pietro for me. He?s in the inorganic chem. department at York.U. Maybe you can even catch his magic show. He usually gives those towards the end of the school year.

    mika.

PS. has global warming made any positive impact on the weather there? Or is it still bone chillingly windy and cold?

Compared to Israel, I would assume. I think it's pretty nice outside.

Well we have a sort of a love-hate relationship with Americans.

Frankly, I'm kind of tired of bashing Americans. When it comes right down to it, we (and a lot of the free world) would be up sh*t's creek without them.

Mind you, they're also obnoxious and self-serving but we need to take a perspective sometimes and realize that they do a lot of good for the world too.

Losers? Meaningless day? LOL! If any of this were true, we wouldn't be so hated, loathed or envied (or the topic of your post).

    This post is one of the funniest I've read yet! What a looser! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

I think Canada Day is over. Maybe you can move this discussion to an Independence Day thread.

In that case I think Will Smith was great in it.

an independance day thread???! that would be just plain madness, stupidity and a waste of time...unless it is about the film

in that case jeff goldblum turned out a pretty decent performance just shows his acting skills as he almost made that american likeable

Well, I'm not Canadian, but by some strange coincedence, Canada Day happens to be my birthday. Unfortunatly, I had to work anyway.

A few years back, I went on a road trip thru Canada and wound up in Ottowa fr July 1. Kept telling every one thanks, but they really shouldn't have gone to all the trouble just for me.

I don't hate America. I just hate George W. Bush and Bill Gates.

They are the evil brothers from Satan
