I got worried because I Reset Settings early this morning (1.1.2011), and was wondering why alarms were not going off, I thought it was something more major.

Naughty Apple. But, heck, iPhone4 has been massive for them.

*slaps Apple on bum... err... wrist*

With all the problems of the Clock app, I have to believe that this is intentional sabotage by someone on the team. There has to be some very disgruntled employees, with all the intense pressure on iPhone4 and iOS4, through the whole of last year, not to mention Papermaster's hushed and harried exit.

    Yes this happened to me

My 3am to give my little girl her post tonsillectomy pain medicine

    Didn't go off

    BUT

My daddy alarm worked I was up at 245 and gave it to her

    Forgot to turn it off

Now I know why I was not bothered

I wonder if alarm aps didn't work

    I have one of those

    "best alarms"

    I'll try that

Weird that they work on the 3rd

Mine work. Guess you're kicking yourself for not having an iPhone 2G and not being able to update, eh?

Repeating alarms work per what I read. It was only one time alarms.

Yes. This only affects Apple's Clock application.

WARNING: SETTING ALARM TO "REPEAT" DOES NOT SOLVE SOME PROBLEMS. MY ALARM FAILED TODAY AGAIN (JAN 2 2011) DESPITE BEING REPEATING ALARM.

DO NOT DEPEND ON IPHONE ALARM AT THIS STAGE FOR ANY CRITICAL APPOINTMENTS UNTIL THIS IS SORTED OUT.

Something else is the issue. The Apple spokesperson seems to be repeating (pun unintended) what blogs are reporting about it working fine if you set to repeating alarm, and about it working after Jan 3rd. This may not be the issue, it needs further investigation once the iOS engineers are back from holiday.

By setting it to a repeating alarm it seems to solve the issue when you test alarms during the same day. But somehow my alarm didn't go off this morning (Jan 2 2011) despite being a repeating alarm.

This is a very serious problem.
