Is there a "like this music" function on the net somewhere?

Something where I put in different composers or bands I like and based on what other peoples taste in music are it gives me suggestions on bands and composers that I would probably like?

    that feature used to be available on Radio Sonicnet, which was a personalized radio station. i think the service shut down a few years ago.



    also, amazon's personalized CD recommendations to some extent, although it's always wrong. I mean, I bought a new Radiohead CD and it said that maybe i would like Blink 182 <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" /> i hate them...

    You could give <a href="http://www.allmusic.com"; target="_blank">All Music</a> a try; Do a search for your artist and it gives you a whole heap of info including similar/related artists etc.



    Has worked pretty well for me in the past, sometimes sketchy but not too bad.
