Springsteen
Well I went to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on Monday night at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Quite honestly, the concert was awesome. The tour is centered around his new album and they played 9 new songs.
Here was the set list:
The Rising
Lonesome Day
Prove It All Night
The Fuse
Darkness on the Edge of Town
Empty Sky
You're Missing
Waitin' on a Sunny Day
The Promised Land
Worlds Apart
Badlands
Bobby Jean
Mary's Place
Countin' on a Miracle
American Skin (41 Shots)
Into the Fire
First Encore:
Thunder Road
Glory Days
Born to Run
Second Encore:
My City of Ruins
Born in the U.S.A.
Land of Hope and Dreams
Interestingly, he played 41 shots which of course is critical of the NYPD.
An awesome show overall and if you are lucky enough to get tickets or have the opportunity to go, don't pass it up. BTW, MSG rocks.
Edit: I forgot to mention that Born in the USA was the actual rocked out version and not what he's been doing for the past decade. He had been playing accoustic and solo since Ronald Reagan claimed the song was 'a resounding endorsement of his administration'. I think he missed the point. <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

I broke my freaking Teddy Ruxpin making him rock out to Born In The USA (the album) when I was little and he'll always have a special place in my cold black heart.
The new album is groov-alicious.
