Corporate Fire-bombing Nominees

Posted:
in General Discussion edited January 2014
List here any company whose practices are so unprofessional / fvcked up, their offices deserve to be fire-bombed. No casualties required - just the destruction [to financially ruin the sons-a-bitches who run these companies - and invariably hurt others for their own gain].

Here's my first nominee:

<a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2002/08/15/health/15TISS.html"; target="_blank">Cryo"Life"</a>

[two hours later]

Awe common...are you sissies afraid the FBI is watching / going to take you seriously. It's all in jest. Go on - name a company you despise. It's cathartic.

Uh-oh. I see John Ashcroft coming to git ya for blaspheming the most sacred American ideal:

No, not peace and tolerance and security, silly!

    Corporations!

My vote goes to Philip Morris, btw. If there is something evil going on, you can bet PM is in on the action.

Record companies! They pass laws that allow them to destroy people's hard drives legally. And the "copy protected" CD's that crash Macs. They need to be stopped.

And coming soon... The Motion Picture Association of America. They are setting themselves up to screw digital TV, much like the Record companies did to MP3's.

Oh, and Microsoft. Because of their evil license agreement for XP, back doors/security holes, and collecting information on their users.

    Moogs,

It's a shame that corporate finances aren't controlled and run like our government finances are. Here's a good article that details just how good our government does compared to corporations.

I was going to participate, but Paul (not me, the other one here) seems to have compiled a list after my own heart.

Really! The number of spams I get and spamers out there is absurd! There should be a group out there that fights back against spam, not some company. Something above the law. Like a Anti-Spam Mafia.

[Smug voice] Don Ebby, would you like a free sample of Viagra, or how about some fresh teens. I heard it's a offer you can't refuse... [/Smug voice] The next morning: Solicitor finds severed precious G4 processor in bed.

    Whoa, the possibilities.

How about U-GAS, the United Group of Anti-Spamers. A huge directory of members, who are asked to locate reported spamers in their area. If I get a spam and trace it to New York, I could alert the U-GAS network, and they could ask someone* to pursue the spamer with the aid of cops. This could actually work. I would volunteer.

    Preferably someone, um... 'mentally-sound'.

I would like to add to the ever-growing list the Lifetime Network. I can just picture their enormous collection of man-bashing films smoldering in a heap on the cutting room floor....

    here is blockbusters biggest crime.

when hollywood introduced the nc-17 rating it was to create an adult movie that anyone under 18 could not enter by any means. (how many r-rated movies have you been to with 4 year olds walking around the theater? i mean if you can't afford a sitter then wait.....ahhh never mind)

anyway Wayne Huizenga, decided his blockbusters were not going to "deal porn" and said under no circumstances would a blockbuster carry a nc-17 title.

he will carry unrated titles, which could be as bad or worse than nc-17 titles. he just will not carry nc-17 titles.

    so what has happened is......guess.....

yep hollywood does not make nc-17 titles. (i don't know maybe ten in ten years?) it would kill all video revenues.

so one man, has censored an entire industry. ruined a good idea, and was a horrible baseball owner.

but firebombing wouldn't do any good. insurance you know?

    DON'T RENT FROM BLOCKBUSTER!

Color me shocked, for once I have created "a thread that would not die? ". Much more often I am one of the kings of "premature thread death" for some reason. I post, then everyone stops posting. I must offend people or something. Or maybe I'm just paranoid schizo and don't know it yet. I am Jack's Raging Bile Duct.

I futher nominate the Michelina food company for making the most God-awful, annoying, pathetic, puke-inducing tv ad I've seen since the days of "THA FRESH MAKER!"

Blockbuster is now owned by Viacom. My favorite company to hate is GE. I'd also like to see a law where companies would have to indicate who there corporate parent is. I don't think people realize how few companies own so much.
