The official video game of the French Army
I swiped this from another message board:
<a href="http://www.brokennewz.com/worldnews/surrender.asp" target="_blank">Ultimate Surrender</a>
I suppose the French have decided that the success of the U.S. Army's video game is worth emulating so they have released a video game for their own citizenry.
Excerpt from the game description:
"Zees is a great tool to inspire ze patriotism in ze youths, n?est ce pas?" said General Jean-Jacques Loseur, Commander-in-Chief of the French Army, during his weekly press conference. "Since ze end of ze Cold War we French have not had many opportunities to surrender or to show great cowardice in the face of much weaker opponents."
Reserve your copy today.

The inital reports to Rome about the Gallic tribes translates into something like the following: "In Gaul lie an agreeable and artistic people with little will to fight or rise up."
I'm dead serious. I've read it in Latin and english. (several years ago.) Old traditions die hard.
And yes, the French culture has good attributes too.
They may not win a lot of wars, but they sure as hell know how to put on a parade...!

And then this one time...at band camp...
